I’m in the process of designing/coding my brother’s Web site, www.mattallyn.com. As a health journalist (and certified beer judge) he needs a professional site to showcase his writing. He wants a simple, clean, and straight-forward design with a fair amount of white space. I created a temporary WordPress theme that’s online now. Stay tuned for updates!
Here’s a photoshop mockup of what I hope to create. Click the photo to enlarge.
For the second year in a row, Newhouse chose one of our feature stories in Jerk Magazine (named the Best Student Magazine in the Northeast from the Society of Professional Journalists) to represent Syracuse University in the Hearst competition.
This is an especially proud moment for me, since I developed the story idea and researched it this summer before handing it off to our features section. Congratulations to all involved in the making of this article, especially writer and managing editor Jessie Assimon. Click here to read the article.
Even more fun: this article scooped the New York Times.
Hello world,
This site was, as many of you know, up and running just a few days ago. However, now I’ve converted it into a Wordpress theme, making it much more user-friendly. Thanks for visiting, and check back often!

P.S. Special thanks to Prof. Ken Harper for teaching me how to make this. Rock on.
